Our long-term vision and strategy is that communities will be left to manage and maintain projects on their own. A local coordinator follows and supervises the basic work and maintain contact between the parties.
Water well users pay a minimal contribution fee for each bucket of water, at 5 CFA, in order to set up a maintenance fund. The “bouli” are cleaned annually at the end of the dry season avoiding the accumulation of sand and debris.
The participatory approach and community management is fostered by the sense of solidarity and cooperation that exists in the population to deal with common problems.
