ABBA response
We looked for a local humanitarian organization already working in the area and found AVSI, which already works in cooperation with AVAID, another NGO from Ticino, and which has been working in Kenya for many years. AVSI was founded in 1972 and carries out development cooperation and humanitarian aid projects in 31 countries around the world.
A first intervention plan has been set up to ensure drinking water at the St. Cecilia school, and work on a deep well will start shortly. Subsequently, a strategic development plan will be developed for the improvement of the school complex.
